Wasted Aesthetics featured in Nigerian Tribune
Nigerian Tribune has published a feature on Wasted Aesthetics — how discarded materials collected from the streets of Middlesbrough became a visual communication project about value, sustainability and design.

About the feature
The piece traces the project from its starting point — four categories of waste (paper, plastic, metal cans and wrapper foil) collected along Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough — through mono printing, screen printing, photography and digital design, to the finished concertina book presented inside a rusty box filled with shredded paper.
It also covers the thinking behind the work: "Once something is thrown away, we often stop seeing its value. I wanted to take these materials and explore what they could become through design." The interview touches on the map of Middlesbrough included in the book, the street posters and billboard concepts, and the parallel project exploring cracks and damaged urban surfaces.
